This is a French sugar sifter. The spoon part is brass-plated, and I believe the handle is silver-plated. The handle has a bulge, and the fine decorations and monogram engraving are lovely. There are scratches and discoloration due to its age. Also, there is a misalignment at the joint between the handle and the spoon, but this is from the time of manufacture, and there is no looseness. The brass plating is worn.
