The rod's namesake, Jim Teeny, is the creator of the famous Teeny Nymph (as seen in image 16) and is also a leading figure in steelhead fishing in North America. This rod is not sold in Japan, but I was fortunate enough to purchase it at a professional shop in Hokkaido. I bought it last year, hoping to catch a large rainbow trout with a friend in Sapporo on the Shiribetsu River in Rankoshi, but due to a bear scare and guide issues, I was unable to go. It's a very light and easy-to-cast rod, so I'm offering it for sale in hopes that someone will use it. A line of #7/8 to 8 weight is recommended. With its unique fast action, this rod will make your line fly with just a few casts, making casting feel very easy. It is considered to have the perfect action for rainbow trout that are thrashing in managed fishing areas or fast-flowing rivers.
