⚫︎ Remade Poncho-style Haori from Used Kimono ⚫︎ One Size Fits All *When unfolded, it's a square piece of fabric. There's no size as you simply put your head through the center. The head opening is approximately 30cm wide. ⚫︎ The main body is a glossy vermilion with scattered lines. The hem and cuffs feature patterns in dark brown with ecru, orange, and golden yellow. ⚫︎ Material The material is unknown as it was purchased from a used kimono. It's thin, soft, and has a crisp, cool feel to the touch. It feels like the material of scarves often sold in department stores, perhaps polyester? (This is a subjective opinion.) ⚫︎ Usage The used kimono was hand-washed at home to remove stains, then remade into clothing. It has only been tried on after completion. (It was inspected and confirmed for ease of wearing and taking off, and to ensure there were no issues as clothing.) As the original material is from a used kimono, please only purchase if you understand and appreciate used clothing, old fabrics, vintage, and antique items. ⚫︎ Presence of Tears or Holes ① There are some areas where sewing marks from its time as a kimono remain as creases, but they do not interfere with wear and are not noticeable. ⚫︎ Design Highlights This is a gorgeous, lustrous fabric. The hem and sleeve areas are piped with traditional kimono patterns. The soft, drapey fabric moves with you, and the glossy material creates a beautiful, expressive look! ⚫︎ How to Wear There is an opening only for your head. First, put your head through, then twist and adjust the main body to your liking to wear it in your preferred position. ⚫︎ Reference ① The first image shows it worn to create a V-neck. This way of wearing makes the main body shorter. It balances well with voluminous pants or skirts. It also looks stylish paired with bottoms that emphasize the waist, such as high-waisted items or wide belts! ② Images 5 and 17 show the standard way of wearing it. The neckline becomes like a boat neck, and the hem hangs straight down. This style conceals the stomach and upper arms. The sleeve length is about elbow-length (this varies depending on your height and arm length). ③ Images 3 and 4 show it worn asymmetrically in a casual position.
