Matsushita Electric Radio Cassette Recorder RQ-444 MAC BB Working condition confirmed, both cassette and radio work. Antenna is not broken. There is some rust on the battery compartment springs. This model was released in September 1972 and I believe it is in good condition. It is the successor to the first MAC, RQ-447, which is also being sold. The radio sensitivity and sound quality are good, so I recommend it to those who want to use it as a radio. In my opinion, the sound quality is not inferior to radios (dedicated models) that you might be able to get for the offered price. The radio sound is quite good. The speaker is a 12cm Alnico type. Although the body size is smaller than the first MAC, RQ-447, the speaker is the same 12cm. It's been cleverly installed to fit. I think it's rare to see a model with the Alnico speaker's magnet part installed at an angle like this. By the way, the RQ-448, which was sold at the same time and is said to have sold a lot, has a larger body size than this model, but has a 10cm speaker. I think this is probably because they couldn't fit a 12cm speaker due to the space for the popular wireless microphone of the time. If I were a junior high school student back then, I would have chosen the 448. Even if you could be heard just by speaking, a transceiver is fun. Please check the images for any scratches or stains.
