This is a sake set (tokkuri and ochoko) of "Ohori Soma-yaki," a traditional craft of Japan produced in the Ohori area of Namie, Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture. It was originally a set, but since we only need enough for my wife and I to enjoy sake together, I am offering one tokkuri and two ochoko for sale. Ohori Soma-yaki Crackle (Kannyu): A pattern like cracks spreading across the surface of the vessel. Running Horse (Hashiri-goma): The horse design painted on the vessel, originating from the "Goshinme" (sacred horses) drawn during the Soma Nakamura clan era. Double-walled construction (Nijyu-yaki): A unique technique where the vessel has a double-walled structure, providing excellent heat retention and cold insulation.
