It seems to have been produced for only a short period, making it difficult to find, and antique pieces from that era are reportedly traded at high prices in the French antique industry. The reason it doesn't feel overly sweet despite the strawberry motif is likely because the roots are also depicted. This makes sense, considering the popularity of Flora Danica (Royal Copenhagen), which also depicts plants down to their roots. This piece is from 150 years ago, as indicated by the backstamp, and was found in very good condition! There is glaze characteristic of the product throughout, and there are kiln marks from the manufacturing process. Upon close inspection, there are two small chips on the rim, a few millimeters in size, which do not affect use. There is also one indentation that appears to be a chip, but this is likely from the manufacturing process, judging by the presence of a glaze-like substance. All of these are within the range that can be considered character, and the overall condition is glossy and good.
