This is a fan made of natural sandalwood, which my mother cherished, with very delicate openwork carving. To prevent its unique noble sweet scent from dissipating, it is kept in its included sturdy, dedicated case. The condition is rated as used and stored by an amateur, with some slight discoloration on the tassel. I have stored it carefully in good condition, so I would be happy if someone could inherit and use it. It can be used as a Japanese accessory or displayed as interior decoration.
