This is a Mönnig 160 English horn. As a professional player, I used this instrument for work, but I've decided to sell it as I've been using a different instrument more often. While the keywork is simpler than the 180, I believe it's essentially a fantastic instrument comparable to the 180 and others. (A teacher from the Tokyo Philharmonic at the time said it's better to choose a 160 that plays well than a poorly performing 180.) The intonation is good, and the tone is pure and beautiful. The bocal is a Lorée 2H, selected from about 50 bocals to match this instrument. I didn't use it very often, so it's an instrument that can still be played for a long time. Used English horns are rare on the market, so please consider this if you are interested.
