Terui Seisakusho started in the late Meiji era in Rokumachi, Morioka City (present-day Sakana-machi) as a tea and inn business. Along with the sale of tea, they began to handle tea utensils, and they also had an iron kettle factory next door. Later, the factory moved to Esashi Koji (present-day Minami-Odori), and in the 1950s, it moved along with other workshops in Morioka City with the opening of the handmade village. Unfortunately, Terumikodo (Terui Seisakusho) closed in 2008, and new, unused items have become rare. Please forgive any slight errors as this is amateur measurement. Made in the Showa era, unused, long-term storage item. One 18-type (1.5-liter capacity) iron kettle made by Shinsai of Nambu Terumikodo. A traditional craft tag is included. Nambu Terumikodo iron kettles are known for being made very thin and light. There are no problems with the condition of the product inside and out (see each image). Although it is an unused item, it is a product made in the Showa era, so please consider that there may be slight signs of age and minor scratches. This product has been treated with the traditional yakinuki (burning) oxidation film process. You can use it without any problems, such as for iron supplementation. The forged twisted handle is fixed, and the attachment is also secure. Individual differences exist in the perception of condition, so please carefully read the description and images and make your judgment.
