This is a male Ichimatsu doll. He is 42cm tall (size 12). I purchased him on Yahoo Auctions six months ago and have been storing him in a closet with a window. I believe his face is the work of Harukoma. I would like to pass him on to someone who will cherish and love him. I haven't taken off his kimono because it's frayed, but he has a seal from the Japan Toy Doll Control Association on his back. According to the previous seller, he was made during the four years between 1941 and the end of the war. He is at least 80 years old, but I think he is in good condition. There is some sun fading on the kimono, general light soiling, and some peeling of the gesso on his feet. As he is a very old doll, please understand that he is an antique before purchasing. I have a cat, so please refrain from purchasing if you have allergies or are sensitive to such things. I will strive for prompt responses and careful packaging, so thank you for your understanding.
