I purchased this a month ago. I've only used it twice for touring, so I think it's relatively clean. (You can see some bubbles because I haven't peeled off the film on the main unit of the intercom.) There are no problems with communication or music playback. There are spare Velcro fasteners for attaching the speakers and microphone, so you can install them immediately upon arrival.
