Beeswax Balls for Attracting Honeybees - Approximately 50g, about 10 pieces This is natural beeswax containing honey from Japanese honeybees. The photos are examples of the product. Since it is unrefined, it contains honey and impurities. Placing it at the entrance of the beehive is effective in attracting honeybees. Although it looks bad because of the impurities and black color, it seems to be more effective that way, so I use it on purpose. (It's darker than in the photos) In my case, when I used to place Kinryohen, about 30% of the hives would be occupied, but when I use beeswax balls, last year about 80% of the hives were occupied, and in some years, all 9 hives, meaning 100%, were occupied. I place about two balls at the entrance of the hive and two inside. At first, I was skeptical, but it's really effective when you try it. Instructions for use are enclosed.
