What particularly distinguishes the Fujin and Raijin characters is their imposing appearance: horns, pointed ears like a beast, teeth visible in a wide-open mouth, and a round nose facing forward. The details of the faces, drawn with thick lines, maintain the atmosphere of the original paintings while adding realism, and are crafted with even finer detail. The poses, such as the strongly twisted right hand and right foot of Raijin, and the toes of Fujin as if kicking through the air, combine the deformation that creates power with the drawing of the skeletal structure. Even the unseen backs, with the flowing hair, sashes, and loincloths, and the bulging muscles, are carefully sculpted so that they can be appreciated from any angle.
