This appears to be an octagonal teapot or coffee pot from Creil et Montereau. I purchased it from an antique shop. Cafetière Latière Perfect examples are rarely found these days. Even those with some staining seem to sell for 50,000-60,000 yen. This piece has crazing, but no large cracks or noticeable stains. However, there is a chip on the spout and associated staining. I may have overlooked something, but I would like to sell this to someone familiar with the characteristics of antiques. Thank you very much.
