Fine restored French doll, approx. 29cm. ♡ This item uses the head of a Gaultier mid- to late-period model, which is highly regarded among antique dolls, and is combined with a modern bisque body. This is not a reproduction (a modern replica), but a one-of-a-kind item reconstructed in the present day using antique parts. Featuring a small mouth and large glass eyes, the delicate brushwork of the mouth and eyebrow lines embodies the charm unique to Gaultier of the time. Inside the head, there are traces of the original pate having been removed, marks from molding, and traces of eye set processing where modern glass eyes have been replaced. On the back of the head, there is an extremely faint mark resembling a Gaultier-type mark, but it does not appear in photographs. It can be slightly read with the naked eye. The pate is antique and a large size is used, and the dress has a double structure of pink satin and ivory lace. It is finished in a French style with a pink flower-adorned bonnet, the same color as the dress. ♡ Size: Approximately 29cm ♡ Condition: The bisque body has the blue dress secured so it cannot be removed. It has not been taken off. The head and body are beautiful. The connection with the modern body is also carefully done. There is a very slight paint unevenness on the lips, which is very similar to the characteristics seen in antique Gaultier dolls. ♡ The appearance of the doll in a blue dress and blue bonnet has also been photographed and listed separately.
