Although very thin, it provides a moderate compression, and there is a clear difference in swelling between days when I wear them and days when I don't. They are smooth and don't feel scratchy, so they are comfortable to wear. They also have a cool sensation even in the recent heat and are an item that is less likely to feel stuffy.
