Antique French guipure lace applique-style, multi-layered, three-dimensional, and featuring moving petals and plump embroidery. This charming piece is a (for babies, children, or dolls)付け襟, cape, or shawl. Large sunflowers and small, three-leaf-like flowers facing sideways. Embroidered stems and vines. The petals all rise from the base, fluttering and swaying, creating an elegant and lovely effect. The beautiful openwork pattern of the sunflower's tubular flowers (buds ➳ seed-bearing parts). Two-tiered ladder lace on the rim, floral motif edging, and the plump, voluminous outline and edges created by the generous use of thread. The gentle curves of the feminine scallop. Picot lace and tiny pom-poms. It's very gorgeous with only white thread embroidery. It can be used as a cape, mantle, or coat for small dolls and mignonette dolls. It seems to be a work finished with a mix of machine-made and handmade techniques. Perhaps it was originally tailored for cuffs. It can be fixed by attaching metal fittings to the back. If you wish, I will sew on small buttons and loops. The base material is cotton, or possibly cotton & linen. The base is slightly thinner than medium-weight, with a slight sheer quality and a gauze-like appearance. It has a smooth, soft, and gentle texture. I believe the embroidery thread is cotton. Please forgive any errors due to amateur measurements m(_ _)m Length: 32.2 cm x Width 7.5-5.1 cm Approximately 5g There appear to be no noticeable stains or scratches, and it is in beautiful condition. The last image is the back. The double fabric on the edge of the back is slightly weakened. There is a flat leaf embroidery that seems to be a motif while reinforcing the fabric damage. I feel that it blends in and is almost unnoticeable, but please be aware of this if you are concerned. (Image 18.
