The Otto Link's first STM, the so-called "double-ring" model, is considered the best mouthpiece due to its brass material, the precision of its handmade construction, and the otherworldly ease of playing and the best tone it produces. It is the most expensive model in the vintage mouthpiece world. This model revives that double-ring, researching its materials and bringing it to the present day. The very resonant bell metal produces a "ching" (lingering) sound when tapped with a fingernail. The feeling that all the breath blown in is converted directly into sound is truly moving. The Super D model has the NY model, which is the one being offered this time, and the Florida model. The NY model has a gold plate and a slightly lower baffle, resulting in a dark and rich tone. It's a mouthpiece that makes you want to play bebop phrases like Sonny Stitt. I purchased it as a sub and used it occasionally, but I am selling it now to declutter.
