【Childhood Memories】Old Daiwa Set of 2 (Connery & Balsa Mac) Over 40 years later. These are lures that I actually used when I was in elementary school. In the late 1970s and 80s, when bass fishing in Japan was booming. Balsa 50, Heddon, and Rapala lined the showcases of fishing tackle stores. For me, a boy back then, they were unattainable dreams. I couldn't afford the expensive overseas brands, but I excitedly and desperately chose and acquired these two Daiwa masterpieces. Without trying to be someone I wasn't, these lures, filled with my genuine passion, shone brighter than any jewel and illuminated the beginning of my adventure. Set Contents * Connery I bought this back then, captivated by its unique face. It was a companion that walked with me through many fields. * Balsa Mac I kept casting, believing the words "Balsa catches fish." The lively action unique to balsa wood is still going strong. But, it didn't fly very far with a bait reel... Condition of the Items * Condition: Since these were used in actual fishing during my elementary school days, there are scratches, paint chips, rust on the hooks, etc. * Maintenance: I have kept them carefully for many years, but they are vintage items from that time. Thoughts on Listing These items are filled with childhood memories, but I am listing them in the hope that they will be passed on to someone who will cherish them, or to a collector who loves the atmosphere of that era. I think it would be interesting to display them on a shelf as a collection and reminisce about those days, as well as to use them for actual fishing. I will carefully pack them and ship them along with my memories.
