After rigorous training, he became independent in his late teens in the Meiji era, at the age of 18. Also, the body paper of the existing Azuma dolls reveals that he received several awards at exhibitions and expositions both domestically and internationally. However, due to his stubborn craftsman's spirit, he couldn't keep up with the times, and Takeuchi's later years were somewhat unfortunate. The height is approximately 40cm. The gentle smiling expression is very soothing to look at. The kimono that this doll originally wore was tattered, so I put a new shibori (tie-dye) kimono on her that suits her. The obi (sash) is also very cute. The hair is thinning in places and is prone to falling out. The bellows in her stomach still work well. There are few of these dolls remaining, making them very rare.
