This is the "1/700 scale Japanese Navy Ship Equipment Set 2 (E05)" made by PIT-ROAD. It is a parts set for ship models of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. This is a set of 2. I bought it new about 25 years ago and stored it. At the time, this series was groundbreaking, and for me, it was an essential item for updating old WL models. Especially this Set II contained the main gun parts of my favorite 5,500-ton class light cruisers. They are well made, but personally, I feel they are slightly overscaled. As an aside, I couldn't stand the "window stickers" of the old WL models, so I would open the window parts of the kit with a 1.2mm width, insert plastic plate of the same thickness, scribe along the parts, pull out the plastic plate and, along the slightly inside of the scribed lines, pierce vertical holes at equal intervals with a 0.5mm pin vise, then cut out the inside from about half the diameter of the holes and fit them in to create realistic-looking windows. I can't keep up with the recent trend of preferring etched parts, and my eyesight has also deteriorated, so I'm thinking of retiring from ship modeling these days. Please refer to the photos for the contents. The inner bags are unopened, and the box has some age-related stains. The instruction manual is yellowed. I will not sell them separately.
