This is a natural stone inkstone from Duanxi, China, possibly from the Mazikeng area. It's a remarkable piece with a beautifully carved cloud dragon design. The stone is a slightly pale brown color, very similar to the Mazikeng stones I've handled before, so I believe it's likely from that quarry. The stone itself is of excellent quality, not just a plain red stone, but one that sparkles with tiny particles. Unfortunately, the lid of the wooden storage box is significantly damaged, so I will be listing it at a considerably lower price. What do you think of this price?
