This is a barrel for an Eb clarinet. It has a cutback and can use Bb clarinet reeds. Made of cocobolo, it has a softer tone than grenadilla. It has a similar feel to a Backun barrel, and the color is beautiful. It fits a Leblanc Eb clarinet. I had the inner diameter of the barrel specified by the instrument maker Hakam Din to fit a Leblanc Eb clarinet. It will probably fit a Noblet as well. I haven't tried others, but adjustments may be necessary. This barrel improves the airflow, and the characteristic difficulty of playing the Eb clarinet is improved, so I think it's worth trying. Since I mainly use grenadilla, I've decided to sell it while it's still in good condition. It's almost unused. I've added a photo of the barrel attached to the instrument.
