French Victorian tapestry. The size is about 28 x 60 cm. It is a tapestry with a lovely floral basket pattern made of ribbon tape on black silk fabric. It is quite old, dating back to before 1900, but the ribbon tape embroidery is in beautiful condition. The back has some damage (photo 5). There are tassels at the bottom. It is not designed to be hung, so I think you could add something to it and display it as a tapestry. I have never seen such an item with a popular flower basket design, and the fact that it is in such good condition is quite rare.
