This is a wind-up plush toy from the Showa to early Heisei era. It's very similar to Sylvanian Families, but I believe it's a different brand. The surface has a flocked finish (with some wear and tear, please see the photos). It seems the toy was designed to move its legs when the wind-up mechanism was activated, but it doesn't move now.
