I am offering a popular Baby Lock BL57, a 2-needle, 4-thread differential feed serger, the "Ihoujin." Made in Japan (Yamagata). While it doesn't have automatic thread tension, it produces beautiful finishes (see photo 3). The three samples on the right in the photo all have a thread tension setting of 4, and the rolled hem setting has the lower looper at 7. The Ihoujin, with properly adjusted thread tension, remains stable even when changing the overlock width (this is impossible with other manufacturers from this era due to patent restrictions). While the automatic thread tension of the "Itotori Monogatari" is also good, I think the Ihoujin, which allows you to achieve a sewing tension you are satisfied with, is also attractive. Conversely, the Ihoujin is stronger when changing the overlock width. Switching to rolled hem is also easy. There is some slight rust visible. There was rust on the needle plate, so it has been cleaned and chrome-plated (see photo 5). The differential feed expands the sewing variations (see photo 10). The light bulb has been replaced with an LED bulb. For those looking for a reliable Ihoujin that sews properly... There is little color unevenness; the original color is ivory. Includes the sewing machine body, controller, bulky overlock foot, instruction manual (color copy of the cover only), sewing needles (3), tweezers, brush, replacement upper knife, net (4), and thread spool holders (4) (see photo 4). I will include some test thread for you to use. It will be wrapped in bubble wrap, placed in a plastic bag, and shipped in a recycled cardboard box with cushioning material.
