Teak grows in Southeast Asia, and its high water resistance, hardness, and beautiful grain make it popular in European and Scandinavian interiors. Currently, exports are restricted to prevent over-logging, so antiques and reclaimed wood may be easier to obtain. These were also stored as dead stock.
