Gibson J50, 1968 Vintage I purchased this guitar used about three years ago. I bought it after seeing it on Digimart. The condition hasn't changed since I bought it, and I had the frets leveled and other maintenance done, so it's in better condition than when I bought it. This guitar has the narrow neck typical of this era, about 39mm, and a rosewood adjustable saddle, which provides a crisp and well-defined sound for chords. The volume of each string is well-balanced, making it ideal for strumming. The narrow neck makes it easy to play for those with smaller hands. You can play high frets with a feel similar to an electric guitar. Fingerpicking doesn't produce much sound, and the narrow string spacing might feel cramped for your right hand (compared to other guitars, so it may depend on getting used to it). This guitar is more suited for strumming than fingerpicking. The adjustable saddle allows you to set the string height to your preference. Currently, it's set at 2.2mm on the 6th string side and 1.6mm on the 1st string side. Please note that there are several cracks on the body. I've marked them in the 13th image. Some areas have been repaired, but others haven't been repaired because there are no gaps and it's not at the stage where repair is necessary. Please check the photos. Also, it's said that the top and headstock may have been repainted. There are, of course, scratches and weather checking. The tuning pegs are original, but they are stiff. The 3rd string peg is particularly stiff, but tuning is possible. This may be a concern for some. The frets have been leveled, but they are low. It's a matter of preference, but you may need to replace them in the future. I will send the guitar with the strings that are currently on it. Please replace them with your preferred strings. A non-original hard case is included. The bridge pins are currently black, but I will also include the original white ones. As this is a vintage item, please purchase it if you understand its nature.
