The Mini Matte Box weighs only 140g (4.9 oz). It protects your lens and prevents light flares with the included top French flag. 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes and a cold shoe mount provide several mounting points for various accessories such as small LED lights and microphones. The kit includes a 15mm rod adapter that attaches to the bottom of the matte box to support the weight of the matte box and also a way to secure the lens in place (not compatible with front element telescopic lenses). A further advantage of this matte box is the two filter options. The front of the matte box has a slot for standard 4 x 5.65 filters. Also, screw-in filters can be attached to the included adapter rings through the inner threads that match the diameter of each adapter ring. This adapter ring is first attached to your lens, and then the matte box is clamped to the adapter ring. Note: Not suitable for 82mm ND filters.
