This is a solid-tip model. I purchased it as a used item in good condition and used it once. There are no noticeable scratches, but there may be some slight scuffs or minor scratches that don't show up in the photos. There is some slight dirt on the sponge grip, but I think it will come off if washed. It can be used in various ways, such as for float fishing or "myaku" fishing from brackish lakes, breakwaters, small rocky shores, etc. It's about a size 1 class in terms of磯竿 (iso-zao, a type of Japanese fishing rod) size.
