Being full leather, it's warm and won't peel like artificial leather. The Kemono Chan's eyes are also made of leather, so they won't peel off like a print. My child used it for one season and outgrew it. The leather shows signs of use, but in my opinion, it's at the level where it has developed character. It's an XS size, so it should fit elementary school students in the lower grades or those with smaller hands in the middle grades.
