I'm selling this doll because I demolished my storage room and now have limited space to display my doll collection. I'm planning to organize before the New Year.
This is a rare long-haired girl from Kobo Tomo. It's unusual even among their works to have details like obi cord and obiage (sash accessories).
This is an Ichimatsu doll wearing a black and red floral kimono, characterized by her black, straight hair.
Kobo Tomo's costumes are sewn from antique fabrics dating back to the late Edo period, the end of the Edo period, and the Meiji and Taisho eras, and are dressed by hand-tying. This is one of three dolls I own. It's a well-balanced doll with attention to detail in the obi and accessories, such as tsumugi and shibori.
*This is a very expensive item, but it's being offered at a lower price because there are stains on the tabi (socks). Please remove the stitches and wash them when they arrive at your home. They will probably come off nicely.
