A vintage rug from Boujad, with a striking diamond motif and vivid colors. Boujad is located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, and is known for its female weavers who draw patterns with a free sensibility. This is a rug called "Boucherouite," woven by reusing various materials such as old cloth and leftover yarn, and its playful texture and art piece-like presence are attractive. It is a shaggy type using cotton for the base and interwoven with acrylic yarn, with long pile and rich volume. It has a heavy color scheme based on black, with green, red, blue, mustard, and white overlapping. The diamond motif in the center is impressive, and the composition that spreads out radially creates a sense of power. The white placed around the motif makes the pattern stand out and gives a unique sense of depth.
