Thank you for viewing! This is a protective cover to be used on the chin rest of a violin or viola. It protects your precious instrument from dirt and sweat, and is made at the request of those with allergies to metal or varnish, or those with sensitive skin. This is specifically designed for the Guarneri-type chin rest. It can be used for both 4/4 violins and violas. It's difficult to give exact overall dimensions, but the outer dimensions are approximately 18cm at the longest point, the pocket opening is about 10cm, and the depth is about 6cm. The outer side is a black base with a white Nordic floral pattern (100% cotton), and the inner side is plain black (100% cotton). There is no batting, so it's thin and stress-free to attach. ⚠️I couldn't capture the true colors due to smartphone photography. Please note that the color of the actual product may differ slightly from the photos. Cover the pocket part over the chin rest and secure it with the elastic on the back. We use very soft mask elastic so it won't scratch your precious instrument. I don't think it will affect the sound, but if you're concerned, you can put it on top of the shoulder rest or wrap it around the shoulder rest. Also, if you thread it through the shoulder rest, you can save the trouble of attaching and detaching it every time. The length of the elastic can also be finely adjusted with the stopper. This stopper is also made of silicone, so it won't affect the instrument or the sound. The button is made of acrylic, but the back button that touches the instrument is made of soft felt fabric. If it gets dirty, please wash it gently by hand. You can iron it, except for the elastic and buttons. The instruction manual in the 9th and 10th images will be included.
