Silk Honba Oshima Tsumugi (7 Maruki) Kimono Remake Haori This haori was created by remaking a kimono made of pure silk Honba Oshima Tsumugi (7 Maruki). We have utilized the light and elegant texture unique to Oshima Tsumugi to create a garment that cherishes a Japanese aesthetic. The sleeve length has been remade while incorporating the kimono's original dimensions, resulting in a slightly longer design. The length is approximately 8cm longer than a standard kimono, creating a relaxed silhouette that can be easily worn. The lining is the original kimono lining and has not been extended in length. The finish allows you to enjoy the texture of the kimono as it is. Pockets have been added to both sides. A Japanese-style tie is attached at the front, allowing you to wear it tied or simply draped open. The garment has been carefully finished using a combination of sewing machine, overlock machine, and hand sewing. Additionally, the sleeve length was created by cutting the bottom of the kimono sleeves rather than using them as they were. There is no leftover fabric for the hem length, as extension fabric has been used for the pockets and ties. As this item is made by deconstructing a kimono, needle holes and fold marks may remain.
