This is a reproduction of the 11-inch original engineer boot released in 1940 from Chippewa's archive collection. It was the first boot to feature an external heel counter and logger heel. Despite being a long boot without shoelaces, it provides ample protection for the foot and shin, making it a favorite among bikers. Chippewa engineer boots were frequently worn in biker films of the 1950s, becoming an iconic item for bikers and a symbol of freedom for young people forging their own paths. It is said that James Dean wore a similar model in "Rebel Without a Cause," although the sole was different. The white powder on the boots is a phenomenon called "bloom," which can be easily removed.
