I purchased these shoes new from the Asics website, but I don't think I'll be wearing them, so I'm putting them up for sale. I used them once on the track for a 5000m + 1000m training session. Please check the attached photos for the product condition. There are some water splash stains as I used them on the track after rain (photos 5 and 6). I weighed them, and they were approximately 240g. Below are my personal impressions and a comparison of the shoes. As many reviewers have already mentioned, the new FF Turbo Square (FF Turbo 2) material is firm. Compared to the Magic Speed 4, which I also own, the FF Turbo feels softer. The Magic Speed 4 weighs 210g. The Sonic Blast also uses a new material and has an Astro Plate, but since it's a resin material, I felt the repulsion was less than the Magic Speed 4, which has a carbon plate. Based on the above, Weight: Sonic Blast < Magic Speed 4 Repulsion: Sonic Blast < Magic Speed 4 Stability: Sonic Blast > Magic Speed 4 Cushioning: Sonic Blast (firm) ≒ Magic Speed 4 (soft) The Sonic Blast is a good race shoe for those aiming for a full marathon sub-3.5 to 4, or for those who want a stable shoe for point training.
