This is a Klon Centaur clone model. It is brand new and unused. The knobs and enclosure are designed to resemble the original, and the sound reproduces the original's transparent thickness, glossy mids, and tight, clear overdrive. I own the original silver version without the artwork, and honestly, despite the price difference of about 100 times, there is no significant difference in sound even in a blind test. The original might be slightly clearer in sound, but I'm sure there are people who prefer this one. In any case, you can get that sound that makes your guitar sound better just by plugging it in. Also, since it runs on a 9v battery and a 9v center-negative adapter, it can operate without the need for a conversion plug, unlike the original or Ceriatone's Centura. While there are clones of the Centaur series pedals from various manufacturers, they are surprisingly difficult to dial in considering their reputation and price. I believe this is more than sufficient quality for beginners to the Centaur series or for practicing sound creation. Furthermore, its size is about two sizes smaller than the original, making it easier to incorporate into a pedalboard.
