This necklace has a mature, sophisticated air with its deep purple color. I bought it over 40 years ago because I loved the design, and I wore it a few times before storing it away in a drawer. There are no markings, so I can't be certain, but since there were few items made in China at the time, it's likely to be either made in Japan or the USA. It's well-made.
