Beta-hari, where two pieces of leather are perfectly glued together, requires advanced craftsmanship because it tends to cause the leather to lift or wrinkle. Both the front and back surfaces are grain leather, making it durable and firm despite its thinness, while also adding suppleness. To further enhance the finish, the edges are carefully trimmed vertically and repeatedly polished with dye to create a natural luster. The outer leather uses Italian kip (cowhide from calves aged 6-24 months). The lining uses firm combination-tanned steerhide.
