I bought this in China a while ago because I liked the look of it. What appears to be inlaid stones are probably resin, but it looks luxurious at first glance. After I bought it, I never used it to hold brushes, and it's been on display on a shelf ever since. It's hexagonal, with a width of 9.5-10.5 cm, a height of 15 cm, and a weight of 360g. However, I was surprised when I soaked it in water to wipe away the dust that had accumulated in the crevices of the carving, and a red liquid came out. It's probably not as finely painted as Japanese lacquerware. While it's wet, the color will transfer to paper, but once it dries, the color won't come off at all, so it should be fine if you use it without getting it wet. I hope you'll consider using it if you like it.
