This piece is characterized by its vibrant blue glaze, likely using techniques such as Kōchi-yaki. There is a mark on the back, but it cannot be deciphered. Size: 7cm diameter, 4cm height "Ware tada taru o shiru" (I only know contentment) means "I only know being satisfied," and is a Zen teaching that emphasizes the importance of not endlessly pursuing desires, being grateful for what one has (life, health, environment, etc.), and being content with the present situation. It is famous for being inscribed on the "tsukubai" (washbasin) at Ryōan-ji Temple in Kyoto, and expresses the Zen spirit of "Those who know contentment are rich even if they are poor, and those who do not know contentment are poor even if they are rich."
