Slipware is a technique where decoration is applied with a brush over a layer of slip. Each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind. These are wonderful pieces with Hanaoka-san's unique colors and sense of style. However, they have been stored at home, so please only purchase if you understand this. These pieces have been waterproofed, so do not perform "medome" (sealing) such as boiling them in rice water.
