This is a vintage 7th-tier Hina doll set, "Imperial Couple Display," made by "Shuugyoku." I love Hina dolls and collect them, but I'm selling a portion of my collection. This set was purchased from an antique auction site. Both the male and female dolls have classic, elegant Kyoto-style faces. They are heavier than they appear, with a solid and stable feel. The costumes and accessories are very luxurious, but I apologize for my poor photography skills. In reality, everything is a bit more vibrant and clear in color. The Imperial couple and the gold screen and other decorative items were purchased separately later, so the historical context is slightly different, but each item is made of good quality materials. *Imperial Couple Size* Width: approx. 34cm Male doll depth: approx. 18cm Female doll depth: approx. 28cm Male doll height: approx. 23cm (without crown) Female doll height: approx. 20cm (without crown) *Black Lacquered Platform with Tatami Matting Size* Width: approx. 41cm Depth: approx. 41cm Height: approx. 12cm The tatami matting is large-sized, "hiru-omashi" style, so I used to display the gold screen, paper lanterns, cherry blossom and mandarin orange trees behind them. Most of the front decorations are also made of sturdy wood. I especially loved the "ogami-ashi" (praying feet) posture of the male doll; it's so adorable! Although I haven't displayed it in the photos, I will also include a brand new crimson felt rug. This is a genuine, valuable Hina doll set that will become increasingly rare in the future.
