BES, who made a name for himself as a member of SCARS and SWANKY SWIPE, based around Kawasaki, released his second solo album, a masterpiece, in '08. From the opening track "The Process," the album hits hard with straightforward beats and lyrics that confront harsh realities with a cool perspective and a strong, masculine delivery. Whether it's skill or raw realism, his rap skills are outstanding. The collaborations with the impressive guest artists are all excellent. Among them, "How How High" with Messiah The Fly, a high-energy, middle-finger-waving anthem, and "Rebuild" with ANNA, the album's title track, are particularly thrilling.
