80's U.S. NAVY Chukka Boots 9R U.S. Military Issue 1986 U.S. Navy chukka boots. These boots were issued to deck crews who worked on the decks, and their rugged yet refined appearance, characteristic of the USN, gives them a unique presence. In recent years, they seem to be even less common than USN service shoes. Size 9R, a golden size. The material is thick leather, and the toe area has steel inside, making them a real specification. They are also extremely durable, and as Navy boots, they are strong against rain and can be worn in all weather conditions. The outsole is made with the GOODYEAR WELTED construction, so the sole can be replaced, making it an item that can be worn for a long time. The durability of the sole is amazing, and you probably won't need to replace it unless you wear it a lot. I purchased this item at a vintage shop.
