【Item】 ・Likely a RED WING 8001. ・Size: Approximately 26-26.5cm 【History and Details】 ・Purchased approximately 40 years ago, in the 1980s, at a Red Wing Shop in Nogizaka. ・The condition is as you can see. ＜Leather＞ ・I have worn them with care. Every 10 years, I have performed crack patching and repainting, and recently completed the fourth repair. For this repair, I used Sato Toryo Co., Ltd.'s "Water-Based Leather Touch Putty" for the putty. For the paint, I used Columbus' "Ad Color (black, brown, reddish-brown)." This time, I feel the reddish-brown is a bit stronger. The painting is only on the front part of the shoes. ＜Sole＞ ・The soles are not to my liking as RED WING soles are slippery, so I have applied non-slip material. Also, I have built up the toe and heel areas using Cemedine's shoe repair material "Shoe Doctor." There is no problem with walking, but I think it would be best for you to replace the soles with your preferred ones after purchase. ＜Other＞ ・The inner heel area is worn down. ・The shoelaces have been replaced with new ones. The repairs are amateur work, as you can see in the photos. I would be happy if these shoes could reach someone who has repair skills and will continue to cherish them.
