Please check the images provided and consider before purchasing. [Shimei Terashima] Born in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture in 1892. His real name was Tokushige Terashima. In 1910, he went to Tokyo to study literature. In 1913, he became a disciple of Kiyokata Kaburaki through the introduction of Sofu Nagano. The following year, he was selected for the 14th exhibition of the Tatsumi Painting Society and received the 3rd prize. In 1927, he was first selected for the 8th Teiten Exhibition and exhibited in official exhibitions thereafter. In 1936, he moved to Kotoen, Nishinomiya City, and made it his base. In 1941, he received a special selection at the 4th Shin-Bunten Exhibition, and the following year, he received a special selection at the 5th exhibition. In 1958, he became a member of the Nitten Council. In 1961, he received the Minister of Education Award at the 4th Shin-Nitten Exhibition. In 1970, he received the Japan Art Academy Award.
