I used this for making simmered dishes and pork miso soup, and for parboiling crab at the end of the year. I used it on an IH stove. The steamer basket is for use in a 27cm pot. I believe the material is stainless steel. Overall, there are scratches, scorch marks, and dirt from use. I didn't see any noticeable dents, but there may be some I missed. Please understand that this is a used item before purchasing. No price reduction.
