This is a natural Baltic amber carving purchased from a specialty amber shop about 25 years ago. It's an amber duck, and I think it's a rare carving that you don't often see. I've cherished it, but I'm now putting it up for sale. I believe the purchase price was around 20,000 to 30,000 yen. The neck is slightly tilted to the left (see image 5). It has beautiful sun spangles. Fluorescence under black light (images 16 and 17). It was purchased as amber from Lithuania, and the sorting report indicates "Genuine Amber/Copal." Due to my carelessness, the writing on the sorting report has smudged, but it is a genuine report. The amber interior has few inclusions, and the color is uniform, indicating high-quality amber was used.
